Chef's Club by Food & Wine

I know this is two weeks late, I'm sorry to all of you who follow religiously and I haven't been keeping up, I promise it will be better after Christmas, when I graduate. But two weeks ago I went to the Chef's Club with my mom. Its a new restaurant in NYC (located in SoHo.) The website says "best New Chefs from around the world showcase their favorite dishes in NYC's historic Puck Building. And they do just that, the location alone is incredible, and you can't miss the massive Himalayan salt hanging from the ceiling, along with the great wood tables, many family style, or the sketches of the famous chefs along the walls. They make soho chic look easy, and the food is just as beautiful. My two favorite bites of the night was the appetizers, my mom having some fresh fluke crudo, and I had the Maine diver scallops, which came with toasted quinoa and a Meyer lemon calabrian chili sauce. Both were incredible, along with the wine of course. We indulged in dessert, and had a homemade lemon pudding topped with a lemon granita. Obviously homemade, and had a great mix of taste and texture. Can't wait to try it myself. Wear your best dress, come hungry, and leave truly content by the entire experience, but do you expect anything less from something sponsored by Food & Wine magazine?
