Topping Rose

For my 21st birthday my parents took me to Topping Rose in Bridgehampton. This was one of the best meals I've ever had. We all left beyond content with the amazing bites we got to try. The restaurant is set on the corner of the intersection at the end of Bridgehampton, in a beautiful newly converted Inn. For a small fortune you can stay the night but if you want to feel like a queen for the night instead stop in for dinner. I went with an overdose of truffles, starting with the Peconic bay scallops, raw, over a celery paste, topped with apples and black truffle, which my father and I were both reluctant to share with my mother because it was so good. She had the Fluke Crudo with radish, orange and jalapeño which was fresh and amazing as well. I then had my second truffles with homemade mezaluna stuffed with taleggio topped with local mushrooms and white truffle. It was mind-blowingly perfect and I forced myself to find room for every bite. My mom had pork five ways which was impressive and my dad had the tilefish cooked in lobster broth, baby beets and fennel and is topped with more lobster. They surprised me with a cake and we all rolled out of their beyond content. If you are ready and willing to spend a good amount of money but want to be blown off your feet stop by Topping Rose for a spectacular meal.
