Pommes Frites

It might be the trip I'm planning to Belgium that is getting me in the mood, but I have been craving Pomme Frites since I left the states. If you are a fry connoisseur like my mom and I, searching high and low for the perfect cut, taste, oil and topping you will be extremely satisfied by these. They use the classic Belgian method of double frying, so that the fries have perfect crispy outside and warm soft insides. It comes with basic sauces, but if you are daring, the sauces below are an extra $1.50 and 100% worth it. I even indulge in the truffle mayo from time to time because it's so god damn good. Some of my other favorites are the dill and lemon mayo or the rosemary garlic mayo. My friends love the parmesan peppercorn or the vietnamese pineapple mayo. Close your eyes and point and whatever you get will be some gooey amazingness to dip your heart failure fries into.
The shop is located right around the corner from St. Marks in the East Village. Very very small with extremely limited seating, so expect to stand. The servings are rather large, so share if you have eaten before or go crazy and get your own.
